People in Wilkesboro, NC near Wilkes Community College witnessed a horrible accident involving a moped. Witnesses saw a moped driving up and down South Collegiate Drive for nearly 30 minutes before watching the moped crash. One person who saw the crash happen took the keys from the driver of the moped.
The man was driving the moped had been charged with DWI three previous times in the past 10 years. The police administered a road side breath test on the driver which showed the driver to have a 0.33 BAC. This is well above the legal limit of 0.08. The driver told police he consumed four glasses of vodka previously. The driver is now charged with DWI.
